Personal message: Being blessed with the opportunity to shape the hearts and minds of the children we teach, teachers play an important role within society. This immense honour comes with tremendous responsibility, ensuring that the unique learning needs of each student are identified and met so that all students achieve their full potential.
Statement of areas of responsibility: The Instructional Coach is responsible for building the capacity of fellow educators ensuring the best possible education is being offered to each student, every day. Working side by side with teachers, modelling, team-teaching and observing lessons, develops best practice across the school. The Newman Coordinator supports teachers in the identification and support of gifted and high achieving learners. Collaboratively designed, differentiated tasks across all key learning areas, in addition to providing extension and enrichment opportunities, offers a rigorous, creative and exciting school experience for students.
Professional experience: Brooke has over 15 years of teaching experience in both infants and primary, in a variety of settings, including the independent and state education systems. Brooke brings with her knowledge and experience gained in such roles as; Curriculum Coordinator and Learning Support Teacher. She has enjoyed supporting staff through the accreditation process and leading professional learning.
Currently completing a Masters of Educational Leadership – Australian Catholic University.
