Assistant Principal

Personal message: Being blessed with the opportunity to shape the hearts and minds of the children we teach, teachers play an important role within society. This immense honour comes with tremendous responsibility, ensuring that the unique learning needs of each student are identified and met so that all students achieve their full potential.

Statement of areas of responsibility: The Assistant Principal works strategically to support the Principal in promoting and nurturing the Catholic identity and mission of the school to ensure excellence in educational outcomes for students.  They are responsible for building the capacity of fellow educators to develop best practice across the school. 

The Newman Coordinator supports teachers in the identification and support of gifted and high-achieving learners. Leading the development of collaboratively designed, differentiated tasks across all key learning areas, in addition to providing extension and enrichment opportunities, offering a rigorous, creative and exciting school experience for curious learners.

Professional experience:  Brooke has over 19 years of teaching experience in a variety of classroom settings, including within the independent and state education systems. She brings with her knowledge and experience gained in such roles as; Instructional Coach, Gifted Coordinator, Curriculum Coordinator, Learning Support Teacher and Classroom Teacher.

Qualifications:

Master of Educational Leadership – University of New South Wales (currently completing)

Graduate Certificate in Religious Education – Australian Catholic University

Master of Education (Gifted Education) – University of New South Wales

Bachelor of Education (Primary) – Western Sydney University

Professional interests: Keeping up to date with the latest research and evidence based approaches in education to achieve excellence in her own leading and teaching practice and that of her colleagues.
